What is it about summer that makes everyone crave an ooey gooey sundae? Delicious ice cream covered with warm fudge, whipped cream, chopped nuts, some sprinkles and topped off with a maraschino cherry. Maybe it’s because ice cream tastes so much better when its starting to melt around the edges. Maybe it’s because of all the stands peddling the stuff that only open during summer months. Or maybe it’s for the pure refreshment of swallowing cold to take some of the heat out of your sweating body. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but this time of year its hard to resist every Mr. Softee I pass, while visions of milkshakes and cherry dips float through my head.
